On-line food-ordering firm Grubhub stated it was ending a partnership with Russian tech big Yandex NV for driverless robots that ship meals to school college students.
The announcement got here as Russian companies are being shunned globally over the invasion of Ukraine. Grubhub is a unit of Simply Eat Takeaway.com NV, Europe’s largest meal supply firm.
The 2 companies had agreed a multiyear partnership in July, connecting Yandex’s autonomous delivery robots to Grubhub’s platform at choose school campuses.
“We will likely be ending our partnership with Yandex,” Grubhub stated in an announcement. “We’re working with our campus companions on alternate service choices as we shift away from Yandex over time.”
Grubhub didn’t point out Ukraine. Many firms have stopped doing enterprise in Russia and with Russian companies due to the invasion, which Moscow calls a “particular army operation”.
